When spinning, cotton candy is white because it is made from sugar, but adding dye or coloring turns the color. Originally, cotton candy was only white. Cotton candy may come out purple when mixed. Cotton candy helps to form new blood vessels. I always assumed that cotton candy was bad for you, but according to researchers at Cornell University, cotton candy can be melted to create artificial blood vessels.
